The Year of Change: A 2025 Wrap-Up

The Year of Growth, Change, and Clarity

As 2025 wraps up, I’ve been reflecting on all of the changes last year brought. It was a big year of change for me and for SociallyUP. If this were a soap opera, the episode title would be: “SociallyUP Turned Another Corner… and So Did I.”

SociallyUP turned 9 years old in 2025, and I was honestly floored by that. I can’t believe it’s been nearly a decade since this idea became a full business — what a wild ride it has been.

There have been years spent learning
Years spent changing
Years spent crying
Years spent winning
And yes, more years spent changing. 2025 was definitely my year of change.

SociallyUP Moved (But Not Far!)

After 7 great years in Suite 100, SociallyUP and BTown Box officially moved back into Suite 101 — the very first rental space I moved into back in 2017. It honestly felt like a little homecoming.

Downsizing and shifting how I use my workspace is something I thought about for a long time. After a lot of thoughts, prayers, and conversations, I knew moving next door was the right choice.

Embracing a fully digital brand is something I’m really proud of. It helps me keep service pricing reasonable, gives me flexibility, sparks creativity, and creates more space in my workday for true productivity.

Some Other Changes I’m Proud Of

• More clarity in service offerings
• Better tools and workflow systems
• Fewer needed late-night work sessions — and more late-night sessions I do purely for fun (I really do love working at night!)

The Realness

I went into 2025 with a case of burnout — which I quickly learned is much more than a buzzword. One thing became very clear: I wanted a better work/life balance.

After years of slowly overworking, I made it my mission to find a pace that felt healthy and sustainable. And while it wasn’t all bad (I really do work for fun a lot of the time), burnout still found me.

I’m happy to say I found my balance about halfway through the year — and it has been awesome.

If you’re in a season of burnout, let’s get coffee or tea and I’ll tell you everything I learned. I’m not perfect, and yes, I still take on too much sometimes — but overall, I’m genuinely happy with the balance I have now.

Looking Ahead to 2026

Next year I’m focusing on:

  • Deeper marketing relationships with my clients. I’m building better 1:1 relationships.

  • Continuous learning — I’m joining 4 organized training programs plus 10 smaller trainings next year.

  • Expanding educational content for social media and newsletters

  • More space for creativity both for me and for SociallyUP. I have one day a week planned for nothing but being creative.

2025 changed me in all the right ways, and I’m stepping into 2026 feeling both balanced and inspired. Thank you for being part of this journey — whether you’re a client, collaborator, reader, or quiet supporter.

In my next newsletter, I’m going to take you on a journey into how to treat your social media like a business tool. Facebook is so much more than a page or profile these days. Instagram is a tool, and TikTok can be an entire business when it’s done right.

Throughout 2026, I’ll be sharing more about Local SEO, websites, and so much more — all with the goal of helping you show up online with organization, confidence, and purpose.
